Cut a piece of fabric 2 inches wide by 5 inches long. Use decorative scissors, either scallop or pinking, along the long sides. Fold the fabric in half along the short side and cut out a 1-inch-deep by 1/2-inch-wide piece (this will create the handle of the carrier). Cut two 2-inch pieces from a 1/4-inch dowel
Wrap a Mason jar screw lid in green twine or yarn, holding it in place with dabs of hot-glue. Once fully covered, add miniature holiday decorations and bows. Tie a loop of ribbon around each lid for hanging.
These ornaments come together using materials that you probably already have around the house - cardboard and twine. Use wood beads, wooden craft pieces, or poms poms for the nose.
Paint face on dried orange slices with off-white acrylic paint. Once dry, use black acrylic paint to add eyes and a nose. Attach whiskers, cut from faux pine branches, on either side of the nose with hot-glue. Cut ears from another dried orange slice and glue to the back of the ornament. Cut the egg cups and dividers from paper egg and duck egg cartons. Spray paint pink, green, or silver. Top with a corresponding color glitter or metal leaf. Punch a hole in the top of each ornament. Tie a jingle bell to a length of silver string. Thread the string through the hole and tie a knot below the hole, making sure the jingle bell hangs below the carton.
Celebrate the loved ones in your life by making them a personalized ornament. Use either there first or last initial or both! To make: Cut block letter shapes from pieces of cardboard. Wrap letters in twine, holding it in place with dabs of hot-glue.
Wrap yarn around a clear plastic Christmas ornament, holding the beginning of the yarn in place with a dab of hot glue, until the ornament is completely covered. Thread bamboo cocktail picks through the yarn to mimic knitting needles. Hang as desired.
